WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are items and enchantments that can be put on armor and weapons to boost their stats. These upgrades can increase the gauge of an item by a specific amount of points. Their costs scale with their rarity.
The melee PvP scene highly values an optimally rolled version of the armor for its ability to reduce damage from weapons.
Type-restricted upgrades
The process of upgrading is a vital part of the crafting process. They can enhance the stats of an item and make it stronger or less durable, and even provide an added benefit. They also affect the item's appearance. While some upgrades are universal, others have special rules for applying to armor or weapons. The wrong upgrade could ruin the weapon that was previously amazing, or even render it useless.
The general rule is that you should only upgrade a piece of equipment to the standard of the highest-level equipment in its category. This means that you can only upgrade body armors, helms, gloves and shields to the level of their top-of-the-line counterparts. Weapons however, can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this won't increase the damage output of the weapon and could decrease its value in trade.
You can upgrade an item by using flightstones or crests. The amount of both depend on the level of the item and slot. Upgrades to swords, for example will require more flightstones compared to upgrading an cloth. You may also get discounts on the number flightstones or crests required to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on an item is filled up when it is upgraded. Each step raises the item's Tier level by one-third. The maximum Tier level is Tier 3. Depending on the type of item it could require a different number of upgrades to reach this level. It is essential to note that any procedures that might mount a disk should not be run during an upgrade. Additionally, you should ensure that the disk being upgraded is not being used as a system disk.
Enchantment allows you to change white or Common items to blue or rare ones. upgrade item is possible to do this at Eleanor's Enchantment Shop in the Capital District. Like other upgrade components, jewels can be inserted into an item with an appropriate socket to boost the item's. For example Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both add strength, but the Garnet Pebble only increases regular hits while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's strong attacks. Many upgrade recipes include the list of acceptable material as well as the components required.
